Dense evergreens press close around winding roads, and the gray skies create a brooding atmosphere that feels both isolating and intimate. Nearby lies La Push, home to the Quileute reservation. This corner of the world holds its own hidden war: the uneasy truce between the Quileute shapeshifters and the Cullen coven of vampires. Boundaries are strict, and every scent on the wind matters. Ordinary humans live unaware, caught in the quiet tension between two supernatural forces.
