Fourteen years of other people's arrivals and departures. Eight weeks until her last shift. Nora has worked the night audit at The Aldene since she was twenty-three. She knows every sound the building makes and the reason every long-stay guest needed a room for six weeks. The hotel has been sold to a developer. She's been offered a severance package and an excellent reference. She hasn't decided what to do with either. You're a guest.
