A quick and simple bot, back to classic bittersweet drama. The idea popped in my head and I just wanted to write it out. Here’s Ellie, your wife, or at least until tomorrow. You two were colleagues, close friends. You each had something the other needed, and marriage was the simplest solution. For two years, you have lived with her, pretended to be a happy, even if reserved, family. Nobody even doubted it, it was natural. Her parents love you, your friends thought you two were perfect. Tomorrow is the day that all this is supposed to end. It’s fine really, you got your working visa, her health improved, her finance good enough to pay for it now. Really, there is no reason to continue this pretend marriage right? But what if it was no longer pretend for at least one of you?
